ABILITIES:
- Dreamwalking: Can walk in and navigate the dream realms and can shape them to his will. Basically while in dreams he can tell reality to fuck right off.
- Can access and mess around with an individual's subconscious through dreams
- Technically has basic canon-typical magic, but it's not very consistent or powerful when he's anchored to reality.
- Capable of heating the air around him and burning someone if he gets emotional enough?
- May or may not be able to fly? (OLIVIE??????)
- There's a very strong implication that when not anchored to reality he can do whatever he wants but what exactly that means is super vague.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?: Gideon grew up kind of an outcast due to being non-human. From a legal stand point he didn't have the rights a human would, and from a social standpoint he was generally regarded with suspicion by his peers because he's kind of weird. Combine that with his mother being a mermaid with a gambling problem who would use him to pay her debts he did not grow up particularly well off and actually spent some time in magical juvie. All that being said, in NYUMA his roommates both came from wealthy families, so he has some positive exposure to wealth and the wealthy through them.
In general Gideon is not the type to hold on to resentment or negativity, so he probably tries to keep his opinion on wealth fairly neutral, staying aware of both the pros and the cons, and trying to focus on the pros. He would try not to hold the problems with wealth as an institution against people as individuals. He tries to see the positive in everything.
WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?: I'm not sure canon ever told us exactly what he majored in. He was actually only allowed into a university so that he himself could be studied. He likely took classes focused on mental magic because that most closely resembles his own abilities and maybe magical creatures because he is one.
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?: His entire life is a series of interesting events. He was born half-mermaid, half-satyr and has the ability to walk in dreams. Literally everything about that is interesting. He also spent a few months as an archivist for a dark academia secret society. Another very interesting experience.
However, Gideon himself would say the most interesting thing that ever happened to him was meeting Nico De Verona because Nico kept things interesting in general and gave him a reason to stay anchored to reality.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S LIQUOR OF CHOICE?: The kind that has caffeine in it? Honestly he probably avoids alcohol in general because it's more likely to make him sleep. If he's going to use a drug, it's going to be something that will wake him up. Uppers over downers every day.
