That answers two of my follow-up questions.

I'd say it's weird that I'm still having so much trouble getting through to spirits [ That doesn't sound right for talking about their fellow guests who've died these past few weeks. "Enspirited people"? "Differently manifested"? ] but I think that's the "game" at work.
